Agricultural Machinery Sales and Service

Thomas Anderson & Son

Established in 1915 at Hardhills Smithy, Thomas Anderson & Son has evolved over the years to reflect the changing face of farming.

The workshop has expanded and is now very different from the old smithy where the main function was that of the farrier. As farming became machinery orientated, the work of the blacksmith gave way to agricultural engineering.

Today the firm employs experienced engineers who deal with all types of farm equipment as well as a sales department for spares and machinery. Mobile workshops provide servicing and repairs in the field while the workshop provides servicing, repair and refurbishment facilities.

As a family run firm the personal touch is still one of the main assets at Hardhills with the partners all being active in the running of the company. This is a tradition which has been passed down through the generations with the company celebrating over 90 years in existence.
